Cequis the Main Game History
Three Player Cequis is very similar to the Cequis main game, and so is fairly easy to learn how to play. The only notable difference is how the gameplay starts. Other than that, all the other rules are the same!
To Start:
Each player is given both the solid and clear form of a colour (solid blue and clear blue for example) so that each player has six pieces.
Each player places their pieces on the following grid locations. For reference, you can print out these grid locations from the Free Game Board area.
Player 1: D5, D6, D7 and E5, F5, G6
Player 2: E4, F3, G2 and D3, D2, D1
Player 3: C4, B3, A3 and C5, B5, A6
Decide which player will go first however you’d like and begin playing Cequis!
Rule Variations:
Choose how you want to play:
1. Pieces are eliminated when surrounded on four or more sides by either opponent’s pieces combined.
This variation is the most fun since all players are in it until only one player has more than three pieces remaining!
2. Pieces are eliminated when surrounded on four or more sides by a single player’s pieces only.
This variation makes for a longer game, but a lot more strategy.
